At Levercor Energy Systems we design, install and maintain combined heat and power systems (CHPs) that can be assembled at our clients’ locations, but this latest project is being assembled at our manufacturing facility in Worksop.
By assembling the CHPs off-site they can be ready to be deployed faster than being assembled on-site and this does offer operational efficiencies and cost savings.
This featured 250kW CHP, powered by a 300hp MAN V12 engine, is destined for a paper manufacturer in the North East, which will significantly reduce their operating costs and CO2 emissions.
With the CHP installed, the electrical energy will be used to power the client’s plant machinery and the 400kW of thermal energy, which would otherwise be waste heat, will be used for providing heating, hot water and cooling across the site.
The payback for this CHP is less than two years.
