Established in 1978, Penny Hydraulics is an award-winning manufacturer of lifting equipment, offering world class manual handling solutions operating in 25 countries around the world.
Operating from their purpose-built premises in Clowne, Derbyshire, the company offers fully integrated lifting systems that are designed and manufactured in-house to exacting standards.
Their manufacturing process draws heavily on mains electricity and they were looking to further reduce their costs, following the rise in the cost of energy in the UK.
Penny Hydraulics had previously installed solar panels to help reduce their energy costs and CO2 emissions, but with the expansion of the company an additional building was included within their estate.
We were approached to survey the roof of the new building to evaluate their suitability for solar PV, following which we installed solar panels on three sections of the factory roofing.
